Launch of the 1st VIRTUAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF FRESCOBOL – FRESCOWALL modality “Counter FTW“

Format:
Individual Frescobol tournament. Evaluation carried out using the “Counter FTW” Software, based on videos sent by Athletes from all over the World of a maximum of 6 minutes in full, with 3 minutes of presentation, valid for scoring purposes, which have their registration validated by the organization.

From Review:
The Counter FTW® system allows a form of semi-automatic evaluation with the aid of an arbitrator equipped with a numeric mini-keyboard.
All strikes are recorded by the software. The average speed is calculated according to the calculation of the times in which the ball is hit by the athlete and hit the wall, and according to the established distance.
With this data Counter FTW® calculates and displays the game’s score.

Definition of categories
FAST  – Category for evaluation through the Counter FTW® Software where two items are analyzed, they are Speed ​​and Sequence. * See more details in the “Evaluation” topic
SKILL  – Category for evaluation through the Counter FTW® Software where they are analyzed, in addition to the two items in the Fast category, the SKILL of each player will also be analyzed. * See more details in the “Evaluation” topic

Fast mode
A) The game ends with 20 ball falls. This number is equivalent to 9-second strings.

B) CLASSIFICATORY – Videos of up to 6 minutes in full with 3 minutes capable of being measured up to 5 falls, no points are lost. From the 6th fall onwards, 350 points will be charged per sequence (equivalent to 10 balls of 35km / h). The player’s invasions will be analyzed, that is, striking the ball in front of the mark. Each invasion will charge 50 points at the end of the assessment.

B.1) FINALS – Videos of up to 3 minutes in full with 1 minute that can be checked. The game ends with 10 ball falls. Up to 3 falls no points are lost. From the 4th fall onwards, 300 points will be charged per sequence (equivalent to 10 balls of 30km / h)
C) Scoring of strokes
✓ between 30 and 40 km / h = the score will be the speed
✓between 41 to 50 km / h = speed x 1.1
✓between 51 and 60 km / h at speed x 1.2
✓ between 61 to 70 Km / h at speed x 1.3
✓ between 71 to 80 km / h at speed x 1.4
✓ above 80 km / h at speed x 1.5

D) Game evaluation
✓There will be two official referees (Carlos Eduardo and Marcelo Silva)
✓All games will be evaluated 3 times
✓Each referee will make two judgments of the game
✓The arithmetic mean of the four judgments will be taken
✓The final grade will be the grade that comes closest to the average.
✓In the case of two notes more or less, the note that will prevail will be the one with the highest score

Example:

E) Tiebreaker criteria (the following order will be considered)
a) longest distance game
b) higher average rating
c) lower ball falls
d) if the tie persists, a new game will be requested for the players

* IMPORTANT – MINIMUM SPEED is 30 km / h “all hits where speed reaches at least 25 km / h” will be recorded ”

Skill mode

✓ above 80 km / h at speed x 1.5

Of the particularities of the SKILL modality
In addition to the speed points measured through Counter FTW®.
There will also be a SKILL note (backhand, changing hands and tapping the back). Each will be worth 50 points, added to the final grade. Limiting itself to 750 points, that is 15 skill strokes, among those informed above. IMPORTANT: In order for your Skills moves to be validated, it is mandatory that you perform at least 10 of the total 15 points that can be scored. Thus, we understand that you are an athlete with a certain degree of skill.

Validation of the Video Subscription.
Criteria for validating registrations. Registered athletes must follow the following guidelines:

1. Access the Mais Frescobol Portal, www.maisfrescobol.com or download the MaisFrescobol App for Android phones on PlayStore fill in your personal data and accept the event rules.
2. Send proof of payment of the registration fee via email to ftwmrio@gmail.com with a copy to maisfrescobol@gmail.com

Regarding the preparation of the presentation video:
1. Have a measuring tape, measuring tape or even a ruler in hand, which makes it possible to measure the limit distance between the athlete and his “partner” (in this case, wall or wall) of the category chosen at the time of registration, 3/4 or 5 meters.
2. Have in hand a ribbon, rope, fabric or some other object that can be used as a demarcation of the limit distance and that this can be seen clearly during the presentation of the video to be sent. (Positioning the camera can help a lot).

The filming should allow the organization of the event to see in the video 3 MANDATORY items, they are: The Marking on the floor that establishes the distance, the Wall where the ball is hit and, finally, the registered Athlete (for this to be possible, it is need to find the best angle to position the phone / camera). No specific angle is required by the organization. However, it is necessary to observe the validation criteria.

The video must be MAXIMUM 6 minutes long and WITHOUT CUTS / EDITIONS AND EFFECTS (such as filters, subtitles, emojis, etc.). We suggest that before the start of the match that the athlete considers to be the presentation to be sent, leave everything prepared, including extra balls to save time between the beginning of the sequences.

Balls
Balls allowed to perform the presentations will be of the Penn / Head Brand or in the absence of this, the organization should be consulted before using other brands and / or models. Balls from Beach Tennis, Tennis and other sports other than those informed and / or authorized by the organization of the 1st VWCF (1st Virtual World Championship of Frescobol 2020) will not be allowed

Rackets
Allowed rackets: All rackets known as rackets for practicing the Frescobol modality, among them the models already known as Fibra, Divinicell, Massif, HoneyComb, and also the other models, including the model known as Greek Racket. Under no circumstances will it be allowed to use rackets that escape these characteristics, including Beach Tennis, Padel, Matkot and stringed rackets.

Classification
The 5 best scores in each category will be classified for the Grand Final. Using the media system to define the first World Champions of the 1st Virtual World Championship of Frescobol – FRESCOWALL modality. * See more details in the “Evaluation” topic

Finals
The Finals between the 5 Athletes of each category will be defined through videos of a maximum of 3 minutes, with 1 minute of the game subject to scoring. Sent, as well as in the qualifying phase, following the same criteria for validating the presentation (counted from the validation until the end of the presentation).
The score of the Final presentation will be ADDED the score of the CLASSIFICATION and will be divided by 2 (we will thus have the average).

WORLD CHAMPION will be considered the athlete with the highest score in its category, obeying the criteria mentioned above.

The award
A value corresponding to US $ 325.00 (three hundred and twenty-five dollars) in PRIZES. Equivalent to R$ 1,810.00 (one thousand, eight hundred and ten reais), taking into account the dollar exchange rate on the closing date of this project. IMPORTANT – FIXED AMOUNT BASED ON THE DOLLAR QUOTATION ON MAY 22, 2020. THE AMOUNT AMOUNTED, IS ONLY AS A REFERENCE FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE ITEMS OFFERED AS PRIZES. THERE WILL BE NO PAYMENT IN KIND (MONEY).

IMPORTANT – The closing date for registration and / or submission of presentations, may be extended by the organization, due to the current situation of Pandemic / Quarantine. Because in some countries of the world, they still suffer strict restrictions of Social Isolation. So that we can really give the same opportunity to the largest number of people around the world, we decided to inform everyone about this possibility.

In the 1st VIRTUAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF FRESCOBOL, validated videos will be released within 72 hours after receipt, with the respective game and its score from the Counter FTWall software.

Through the Partnership between, Marcelo Silva, FTW® representative, together with Carlos Eduardo, better known as KaKá from the MaisFrescobol and Jaguar® portal. We decided to join forces and offer our contribution to Frescobol Mundial at that moment, where we see the need to reinvent ourselves and remain motivated, to take Frescobol to higher levels. For we all have full conviction, of the importance not only of Frescobol, but also of all other Sports, in the formation, inclusion, socialization and development of the human being.
Thinking about it and taking into account the possibility of using technology to our advantage, and reaching everywhere in the world, we combine our individual knowledge for the COLLECTIVE good of the WORLD FRESCOBOL community.
In difficult times for everyone and in need of Social Isolation, we had to deprive ourselves of various activities, including professional ones. Among them Frescobol classes. Fortunately, today we have several instructors in various regions of the country that use Frescobol as a WORK tool. Many of these rely on Frescobol as the only source of income, and for this reason we decided to allocate 10% of the COLLECTION COLLECTION to the SHARE between the “FRESCOBOL INSTRUCTORS” around Brazil and the World.
